Always faithful to its appointment with high competition, La Seu d´Urgell offers once again the best setting for slalom canoeing.
Just after the end of last year’s Slalom World Championships and on the verge of another significant international commitment, the 2011 European Slalom Championship, the Parc Olimpic del Segre opens its doors to a new competition: the 2010 Slalom Word Cup.
This means another chance to enjoy the progress of the best athletes in a familiar setting for the world of high competition, with the guarantee of an organising team that is both professional and generous to the world of slalom, a team that completely identifies with the efforts of athletes and knows how to create a warm atmosphere to ease the tension of international competition.
Once again, we want to thank you all for being with us. The Spanish Sports Council, the Sports Secretariat General of the Catalan Government, the Provincial Council of Lleida, the Catalan Canoeing Federation, the Royal Spanish Canoe Federation and the town council of La Seu d´Urgell all together guarantee a slalom world cup developed with you, the world's best slalom paddlers, in mind.
Juan José Román Mangas
President of the Royal Spanish Canoe Federation
